Brown and Miller Fuel Line Builder
Build a Brown & Miller PTFE fuel line one piece at a time: pick the hose, pick both ends, set the overall length. The price updates as you go. Add as many lines as the car needs, then send the whole build to the cart with every length and clocking angle written on the order.
2Hose
Priced by the inchPick the hose type first, then the dash size.
Dash size is the tube OD in sixteenths of an inch. A -8 line matches 1/2" tube and the -8 fittings already on the car.
3Hose ends
Pick one fitting for each end. End A is the end you measured from.
End Athe end you measure from
End B
4Length
Overall, nut face to nut faceType the overall length you measured, nut face to nut face. Do not add or subtract anything for the fittings.
Half-inch lengths are fine. You only pay for the hose that ends up in the line: the builder subtracts the length of both fittings from your overall length, then rounds that hose cut length up to the next whole inch for the cart. The measuring steps are at the bottom of the page.
5Clocking
Only needed when both ends are fixed angles. Look down the hose from End A with End A pointing up, and set how far clockwise End B points.
6Check it and add it to your build
Check the drawing and the price. Set how many of this line you want, then press Add to build.

That overall length is shorter than the two fittings alone. Make the line longer or pick shorter ends.

7Send your build to the cart
Every line you add is listed here. When the car's lines are all in, press Add build to cart. Each item goes in tagged with its line number, length, ends and clocking.
Adding to the cart puts every fitting, inch of hose and assembly charge in as separate items, each tagged with its line number, cut length, ends and clocking, so the shop builds exactly what you set here.
If the button above did not work, use this link to load the cart instead.
How to measure a line, step by step
Overall length, nut face to nut face- Mock up the route. Run the old hose, a piece of rope or a length of welding wire along the path the new line will take. Keep the bends gentle. PTFE hose does not like tight radii.
- Find the two sealing faces. On each fitting the line threads onto, the sealing face is the surface the hose end's nut seats against. Those two faces are your start and end points.
- Measure face to face along the route. Follow the hose path, not a straight line across. That number is your overall length.
- Angled ends: measure to the center of the nut. On a 45°, 90°, 120°, 150° or 180° end, run the tape to the center of the nut's sealing face, not to the elbow.
- Round to the nearest half inch and type it into step 4 above.
- Leave the fittings to us. The builder subtracts both fittings and we cut the hose to the exact length. Do not add or take off anything for them.
The red line is the number you type in. Everything else is worked out for you.
Clocking, step by step
Only when both ends are fixed angles. A straight or swivel end on either side means no clocking is needed.
- Hold the line the way it sits on the car.
- Look down the hose from End A, with End A pointing straight up, at 12 o'clock.
- Read how far clockwise End B points. 0° is the same direction as End A, 90° is a quarter turn, 180° is the opposite direction. Set that number in step 5 above.
What you are buying
- ProGold PTFE hose has a convoluted PTFE core with a static-dissipating liner under a polyester or stainless braid. Sizes -6 through -16, crimped with one-piece PROGold fittings, black with a gold crimp ring.
- Smooth bore PTFE hose has low volumetric expansion for brake, clutch, power steering and gauge lines. Sizes -4 and -6, with smooth-bore stainless ends.
Good to know
- Every line is cut and crimped at Moore Race Chassis before it ships. Assembly is $20.00 per line and is added to your cart automatically with each line you build.
- Need a size, braid or end that is not listed, or a half size in between? Call 636-791-1541 and we will quote it. Not sure of a length? Add the line with your best number and write "please call to confirm length" in the cart note.
- Prices come straight from the store's product listings when the page loads, and every part links to its product page. The cart always charges the current store price.
