Do you make a kit for my car?
If it's not listed, we don't have a kit for it yet. We can design a custom kit from a 3D scan of your car, or build the car here in-house. Call and we'll talk through it. We don't recommend installing a kit in a car it wasn't designed for.

Stock interior or no interior?
Interior kits keep your trim and stock door panels. No-interior kits don't fit stock door panels or trim, and the dash has to be modified. 25.3/25.2 kits aren't designed around any factory trim, panels or headliner. On some cars the factory HVAC has to come out to run the dash bar.

Pre-notched or un-notched?
Every 25.x kit comes pre-notched, hold-and-weld style. Most 8.50 kits come either way. Pick it in the options above. A few tubes are left long on purpose, like the bottom of the main hoop, which you trim to your floor. Floors and bends vary car to car.

Chromoly or mild steel?
Chromoly is about 40 lbs lighter, and it's usually the cheaper option because we buy a lot more of it. Mild steel is offered on 8.50 kits only. 25.x kits are 4130 chromoly. Chromoly has to be TIG welded.

What instructions come with it?
We email a PDF reference guide after you order, with placement diagrams, order of operations and install tips. Every tube is labeled. You'll still need the SFI Chassis Book to build it to spec. Didn't get the guide? Email support@mooreracechassis.com with your order number.

Can I upgrade my 8.50 to a 25.x later?
We don't offer an update kit. The harness bar is notched into the door bars, so moving up a cert level means a new kit. Planning to go faster? Start with the kit you'll end up needing.

Do I have to cut the floor?
It depends on the kit. Most 25.x kits need the floor notched or cut out, and tin or replacement floors are recommended. Check Before you build on this page, or call.

How long does the install take?
It depends on the kit. Plan on about 40 to 60 hours for an 8.50, and 140+ hours for a 25.3 with a backhalf. Call or email us during your install if you hit a question. We're happy to help.

What if something's missing or doesn't line up?
Check your tubes against the tube list when the kit arrives, and let us know within 3 days. Missing pieces ship right away. For fit questions, send us your measurements and we'll work through it with you.

How long until it ships?
In stock, it ships now. If not, it's bent to order with about a 2 week lead time, then a few days to ship. You'll get tracking when the freight carrier picks it up.

How does freight work?
Kits ship on a pallet, usually $250–$500. Shipping to a commercial address or freight terminal costs less than residential. The carrier calls to schedule delivery. You can also pick up at the shop, Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm.

Do you ship outside the US?
Not directly. We work with your freight forwarder to get it overseas. Shipping to Canada? Call and we'll quote freight and send an invoice.

Will it cert?
Every kit is designed to be certifiable to the level listed, per NHRA specs. The finished car still has to pass inspection, so fit-up and welding matter as much as the kit.

Every cage kit ships freight on a pallet to cut down on damage and lost tubing. Freight usually runs $250–$500 depending on where it's going. You'll see the exact cost at checkout.

Commercial delivery needs a loading dock or forklift. Residential delivery is available. Pick the right option at checkout.
